Nihon is an all-encompassing D&D-genre campaign, covering a huge range of cultures and settings and using an original rule set devised by Vince Fitzpatrick. It has been running since 1999. While many starting settings are possible, the one currently being run in Edinburgh is located in a fantasy version of medieval Japan. Flexible and highly-playable, it features a free-form magic system, large-scale battle system, plus rules for weather, fatigue, morale and other aspects often missing from commercial games like D&D 5e.
